The New Era of A&R

Hello Music World/ Minions,

I'm sitting here pondering about how much music has changed since I've been alive. When I was a boy (cue Beyonce) there was nothing better then Top of The Pops and the new Fugees Album was banned from the car by my Mum (word life).

Now, it' all about the digital era. Capitalising on blogs, twitter, facebook, youtube, boysfood.com and other important mediums. But the question is..who is the next breakthrough artist and more importantly, how are they going to break through? Cee-Lo Green's viral video for 'Fuck You' is a clear example of how youtube changed music. A few words popping up on the screen ensured him a number one hit around the world.

Im currently in the middle of developing some artists and finding it rather challenging to think of new ways of launching them.  A rocket perhaps? Or maybe a catapult?

It's difficult and A&R men and women keep fucking up so it's up to the manager to really make things happen, keep control and develop the artist as best as he or she knows. Understanding the market is crucial.

Any ideas out there?

Holla at cha boy,

Hi,

We're Fine Management. A Music Management company for inspiring, commercially viable, up and coming unsigned artists looking to develop, improve and from a relationship from unknown to world wide star.

We thought it would be a great idea to ask some questions:

1. What kind of artist is missing from the charts?
2. Who's the best artist out there right now?
3. If you've tried then why haven't you succeded yet?

Post your answers and check out our website for more info:
